Meet The Artist
Hi, Hello, Hey darlings!
I am Caroline Muskett Mendoza! Let me lay my credentials down and then we can talk fun stuff! I consider myself a natural light photographer, but no worries I have training with studio/speed lights. I focus on intimate moments and prefer an experience instead of a shoot.
A majority of my work is taken and created in the heart of New Mexico and its surrounding towns and National parks. I fell in love with photography at a young age and knew it was what I was meant to do with my life. Moon + Midnight Photo is actually much more then a business to me, it was created and named after both my children: Matius Midnight & Mela Moon. They are the core of the company and why my dreams have come true. I started this business with the intent to create, beautiful, priceless memories for others at an affordable cost.
This dream was only brought to life thanks to my wonderful husband; Dominic. He is my backbone and such a huge part of the company + he is my second photographer and very best friend. We made this extraordinary life together and share it with our two littles + 2 Australian Shepards + Chihuahua.
I love to think of myself as a wanderer at heart; I’m so curious about this world and all the wonderful things it has to offer. I love Spider Rolls, late night drives around the city, fresh mountain air, singing and dancing every moment I get a chance, + reading anything from Stephan King. I am obsessedwith goth fashion, cozy fires, horror movies, and all the DIY projects.
If I was to describe my style of photography, I’d have to say Vibrant and Moody. I hope it makes you feel in the moment when you see my work and if it does, let’s get to chatting and make your wedding, elopement, or portrait session, a stunning memory.
The Reason
Meet the two littles who inspired all of this, the reasons I am who I am. Matius Midnight is my oldest and the sweetest out of all of us. He is so forgiving, so caring, outgoing and very particular. He is the reminder to always stay humble to never lose sight of the goals we want, but to never hurt anyone along the way. Being his mother has given me more compassion then i thought possible. Mela Moon is our youngest and last child. She’s my stubborn one, but also my most outspoken child, she makes me better and reminds me to stand my ground. If any of you have met Moon, you know she works hard and loves to help no matter how tired she is. She consistently pushes on, and that’s why I always do. Her love is one of a kind and so pure. Being their mother is the very best gift I have been given in this life, because if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have all of this and all the beautiful memories and moments i have been able to provide for others!
our home base is new Mexico, but we love to travel!
We frequent the Albuquerque / Los Lunas, New Mexico area and you can find us at destination shoots in Colorado, Arizona, California, and beyond.
